Herping - Searching For Reptiles

Have you ever heard of a sport called herping? Herping refers to searching for snakes, lizards, turtles, gators, crocodiles, frogs, salamanders and other amphibians in the wild. It is kind of like bird watching but for reptiles. It really is a fun sport if you like the outdoors and are interested in animals and the biodiversity of different ecosystems.

Herping involves hiking in areas where reptiles and amphibians are plentiful. When you see them you might want to take a picture.

I often like to combine herping with fishing. My favorite fishing rod is the falcon bucoo rod.
